How it works

From the lake
to the shore.

The platform feeds a causeway carrying the pipeline back to land, where a pre-sedimentation tank takes the first pass at the raw water before it travels on.

  1. 01

    Floating intake

A platform moored on the lake that rises and falls with the water, so it keeps drawing at any level.

  2. 02

    Causeway pipeline

Raw water crosses to land through a pipeline carried the length of the causeway.

  3. 03

    Pre-sedimentation

Ashore, the heaviest solids settle out in a first treatment stage before the water travels on.
